Kamloops, B.C. – Local Ryan Deneault has officially launched Healing Between Worlds, an empowering venture dedicated to healing, reconciliation, and personal growth. With a compelling life story and a profound commitment to positive change, Healing Between Worlds will offer a unique blend of inspiration, education, and empowerment.
“I've experienced the depths of addiction, the struggles of an identity crisis, and the profound journey of healing, said Deneault. “It's incredible to see how things have come full circle for me. Today, I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge and experiences to guide others on their own paths of healing and self-discovery. Through Healing Between Worlds, I aim to empower individuals, foster reconciliation, and create a brighter future for us all, because I believe we heal when we walk together.”
Deneault brings a wealth of credibility and expertise to Healing Between Worlds, with a fullsome background in community engagement and advocacy work. Having served on the boards of ASK Wellness and the United Way Thompson Nicola Cariboo, he has demonstrated his dedication to community development and social progress. Prior to launching Healing Between Worlds, he worked as a community engagement specialist for United Way British Columbia, focusing on emergent needs within Indigenous communities. Additionally, as the First Nations Liaison for mining companies, Deneault played a crucial role in fostering relationships between companies and Indigenous communities in the region.
With 32 years of navigating life as a functioning addict and nearly five decades of grappling with the challenge of finding his place in society as both an Indigenous person and a British settler in Canada, his journey has been one of struggle and self-discovery.
Today, Deneault’s impact is already being felt within the community, as organizations such as the Calgary Board of Education, the Reach Group, Amplify Consulting Inc., SMS Equipment and Interior Health have sought his expertise.
Healing Between Worlds offers a range of transformative services designed to empower individuals on their healing journey, with a particular focus on Canada's history through an Indigenous Lens, Truth and Reconciliation, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), each through an Indigenous lens. Through educational initiatives, participants gain a profound understanding of Canada's past and present, examining the impact of colonization and the importance of reconciliation.
Additionally, Healing Between Worlds shares Deneault's personal journey through addiction to wellness and recovery, providing a relatable narrative of hope and resilience. By intertwining personal experiences with historical perspectives, Healing Between Worlds helps foster healing, promotes understanding, and inspires positive change in individuals and communities.
“Healing Between Worlds is more than just a business—it's a call to action,” said Deneault. “Together, we can create a world where healing is possible, where compassion prevails, and where the voices of all communities are heard and respected."
